Max Lilja

Max Lilja b. 1975 is a Finnish cellist and composer. Classically trained Lilja has released solo albums ”Plays Electronica By One Cello, 2013” and ”Morphosis, 2015” where he manifests the sonic possibilities of an electrified cello in electronica influenced cinematic music. Max Lilja is co-founder of the million selling genre defining cello rock band Apocalyptica, is composing film music and known for his diverse acoustic and electric cello work with many artists including rock soprano Tarja Turunen.
