Volker Illi

Geboren 1955 in Heilbronn, Studium an der Freien Kunstschule Nürtingen und der Hochschule der Künste Berlin, Malerei bei Prof. Kügler. Seit 1988 Lehrauftrag an der Musik und Jugendkunstschule Nürtingen mit Bühnenbildgestaltung für unterschiedliche Ensembles und Einrichtungen.

5Kilo Licht 3Liter Nacht – Geräusche und Erscheinungen oder Film mit anderen Mitteln, Projektionsperformance | Das KartonOrchester – Konzertperformance mit über 50 Instrumenten, nicht nur aus Karton | Fantomas und die drei Truhen – Materialgeräusche mit Stimmsynchronisation | Glen Shag – Rockpersiflage | Fantasten der Jüngere spielt aus 100 Miniaturen für kleinen Flügel eine Auswahl seiner Kompositionen – präpariertes Glockenspiel Schlagwerk.
Der 2km Baukasten Türme - Wände – Ornamente: Sortiment unterschiedlich langer Latten lose geschichtet ergibt variable Skulpturen deren Inneres sichtbar bleibt. Dieses System entsteht an unterschiedlichen Orten und Räumen immer neu. Besucher können mit Latten selber bauen.

Mit Vorliebe verwende ich karge Materialien, Wiederverwertbares, Fundstücke, Inspiration durch Sachen, die zum“ Denken mit Händen“ anregen. Ein Abenteuer von Experiment und glücklichen Fügungen.

The 2km construction kit towers - walls - ornaments: a range of different length slats loosely layered together creates variable sculptures whose interior remains visible.

Volker Illi has a preference for sparse materials, recyclables, found objects, inspiration from things that encourage "thinking with your hands". An adventure of experimentation and happy coincidences.
