Friedemann ‚Fried’ Dähn – Cello, Electric Cello, Komposition
Geboren 1958. Nach einem klassischen Cellostudium in Düsseldorf und Abschluß mit dem Konzertexamen spielte er 1989 – 92 im Ensemble Modern in Frankfurt, dann ging er als Solocellist zur Württembergischen Philharmonie nach Reutlingen. Parallel dazu entwickelt er ein elektrisches Cello und startet seine eigenen musikalischen Projekte in den Bereichen elektronische und experimentelle Musik, Jazz, Improvisation und Klangkunst. Von 2001 - 2012 lehrte er als Professor für digitale Musikproduktion und Klangdesign an der Hochschule für Gestaltung in Schwäbisch Hall. Zusammen mit Thomas Maos gründet er 1999 das Camp Festival – Internationales Festival für Visual Music, welches seitdem mit 18 Editionen in insgesamt sechs europäischen Ländern stattfand, darunter 2013 auf der Kunstbiennale in Venedig. Seit 2009 kuratiert er auch die audiovisuelle Konzertreihe ‚Sonic Visions’ im franz K. in Reutlingen, ebenfalls im Team mit Thomas Maos. Er ist auf zahlreichen Tonträgern unterschiedlichster Stilistik vertreten.

Born in 1958, after studying classical cello in Düsseldorf and graduating with a concert exam, he played in the Ensemble Modern in Frankfurt from 1989 - 92, then joined the Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra in Reutlingen as solo cellist.
