SHORT BIO:
Dilmana Yordanova is a multimedia artist whose training is embedded in the extensive range of artistic resources of the late 90's. As visual artist, she's been interested in renewing artistic language and mastering both traditional and new means. Appealing to painting, photography, installation, video, VJ-ing, interactive installations, 3D video mapping and architecture video projections in order to express the similar subject.
In her study years, Dilmana Yordanova took part in several exhibitions of national and
international contemporary art. Starting with 2001 she presented personal inter-disciplinary
projects at many of the major exhibitions and biennials and after 2005 the artist was present at several festivals and events dedicated to the audio-visual culture & new media in Romania and abroad.

Dilmana Yordanova establishes the KOTKI visuals Studio in 2006, together with the artist Mihaela Kavdanska. They are among the first visual artists to implement new technologies in visual & performing arts and event organizing in Romania & Bulgaria.
KOTKI visuals works in the field of the video production, live visuals, art in public space' relatedprojects, interactive installations, 3D video mapping, architecture video projections. KOTKI visuals closely collaborates with top contemporary artists and electronic music producers in Romania.

Dilmana Yordanova's recent personal or group activities include interdisciplinary projects and tens of unconventional novelty projects in Romania, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Slovenia, Great Britain, Thailand etc.
Dilmana Yordanova is also the co-founder, curator & organizer of the AVmotional Platform for audiovisual projects (2004), one of the most articulated hypostases of contemporary urban culture in Romania. AVmotional Festival used to be the most important event within AVmotional Platform till 2006. Starting with 2007, The Platform organizes a series of events which promote the contemporary audio-visual culture, experimental electronic and electroacoustic music, as well as new forms of audio-video interaction and fusion, thus connecting Romania to the international scene and stimulating the establishment of a young audio-visual community. In the present days, AVmotional is an NGO which acts in the fields of audio-visual arts, art in public spaces and is partner in different independent art initiatives.
