Vincent ALAPHILIPPE
Vincent Alaphilippe started to accumulate music in his head as an Indie
Radio DJ and producer. He build his first tracks with a raw guitar and a
cheap beatbox on a two track tape deck. As soon as sound production
tools became accessible to anyone through the arrival of cheap Personal
Computers, he started to sample anything and to build degenerate pop
songs. Inspired by one-men-band and omniscient producers (JG thirlwell
[Foetus], Konishi Yasuharu [Pizzicatto 5], Barry Adamson), he tries to
preserve a raw energy and ‘punk’ spirit in electronic compositions. He
regularly plays with a VJ in the ‘Boulez Republic Grand Ensemble’ where
cutup techniques, distortion, human interactions, sweat and shouts apply
to images and sounds. He also wrote soundtracks for contemporary dance
pieces and plays in various cold-punk-arty-noisy rock bands.
