Cal started vj'ing in 2003. Residencies
on events by several drum´n´bass-crews like Broken
Beatz, Play!, basswerk. End of 2004 cal and cleaner founded
the vj-team „unit“ and became part of the tatort-crew,
cologne. germany-wide bookings appeared, alongside cooperations
with vj-$ehvermögen (basswerk) and nin.sha (tensionbasement).
Vj-support for Aphrodite, Artificial Intelligence, e-z-rollers,
John b, dj flight, dj trace, Kabuki,
d-bridge, chris su, skc and others.
Aside ofdrum´n´bass-floors also gigs with Modeselektor,
Tiefschwarz, Malente,...
At daytime, cal develops free projects with programming, projections
and other related cultural techniques.
After his degree in multimedia-production (SAE), he held lectures
at the university düsseldorf and the fachhochschule kiel,
worked as tutor for interactive projects at the academy of media
arts and SAE cologne. .
In the meantime cal tripped in commerce, when co-founding the
„rekorder“ (tm) - agency for free creatives. Two years
(2002-2004) of creative direction for the „rekorder“
and being in charge of the unit „rekorddesign“ (clients:
t-com, barmer krankenkasse, strauss innovation,...).
Currently he studies at the Academy of Media Arts, cologne (KHM)
and works on a controller for the virtual graffiti-applicaton
„vandalsquad“ with less rain (berlin). |
