1994
Jazz studies at the college of music in Stuttgart. Intensively
involved in the work with electronic music and music production.
1996
Studies of „music theory and new media“ at the college
of music in Stuttgart.
Since 1999
Foundation of the formation „Schnute“, which combines
influences of jazz- and modern electronic music. Publishing
at Lab Records, gigs at diverse festivals in Graz (Steirischer
Herbst), Stuttgart (Jazz Open), Krotoszyn (Poland) (Global Beats
Festival), Hildener Jazztage, Rostock
(Osteseejazz), Ulm (Jazzfestival), Dresden (Red Beats Festival),
....
Since 2001
Hanfreich works as DJ and Re-Mixer for various bands. Together
with Andreas Zbik („Schnute“) Hanfreich established
a weekly music session. Every week the legendary „Schmollmund
Sessions“ attract many other musicians, such as Thomas
Maos, Fried Dähn, Jürgen Grözinger, Joachim Glasstädter
(Zignorii++) and Wolfgang Schmid as well as avantgarde musicians
from Stuttgart, such as Carsten Netz, Fabian Wendt, Markus Birkle,
Jörg Koch, ...
2002
He received a scholarship from the „Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg“.
The works of Hanfreich have been released on different labels,
such as:
EDM, Lab Rec., Lounge Rec., Musicpark, Hausmusik/Ophon,
Efa, Zoomshot, Marzipan, Brother Rec., BMG, 3P, Universal, ...
