After his studies at the college
of arts in Stuttgart, the photographer and light-designer focuses
on visual experiences, that do not point pictorially to anything,
or, transfer a certain meaning.
For the first time he is able to perform his artistic attitude
reflected by his work: a combination of pieces of photography
combined with light-design, which will be put into harmony through
sound. Both light and sound share the common feature of fleetingness
and immateriality.
Visual
Kurt Laurenz Theinert creates an atmosphere of dialogue between
picture and sound, which is comparable to a jazz musicians technique
of improvisation. Still his own arrangement of instruments is
extraordinary.
Theinert uses the ivis which was developed by Roland
Blach. Through keyboard and pedals he is able to create, project,
move and change graphic patterns in real-time. Overtime these
patterns turn into moving and pulsating pieces and lines, which
change their position, size and color permanently. Minimalist
structures of sound and sound compositions overlap, contrast
and complete new visual impressions, which create an atmosphere
of tension and dynamic intensity.
