Uli Sobotta (DE)

studied classical guitar in Bremen. Since 1984 he plays euphonium and altohorn as soloist, in jazzbands and alternative brassbands. He composes and plays music for theatre, radio dramas, art performances and poets. Besides teaching Uli Sobotta helps to realize different projects as for example the musicians initiative of Bremen MIB. He has performed in England, Switzerland, Belgium, the USA and Russia. Among quite a number of appearances as a sideman, Uli Sobotta has released two solo CDs, "Blechente" and "Blue fish blue", latest release is "Striking a blow" with Evan Parker and Bremen Improvisers Quartet.
