Friedemann Dupelius

Friedemann Dupelius (born in 1987 in Schorndorf, Germany) works with sound and language. As Friday Dunard, he produces and performs genre-fluid electronic music, sometimes as a DJ. Under the alias of Wednesday Dupont, he has created audio plays, audio pieces, sonic experiments, and digital and acoustic texts for radio, festivals, and the Internet.

He is currently documenting the silent protests of soccer fans in the form of an audio paper. His project The Voice of Wednesday Dupont focuses on the artistic use of synthetic AI voices.

He has participated in collaborative projects including the electronic duo Tearss and the Punk performance project Frankfurter Tor. In addition, he is active as a journalist on radio (WDR3) and in print (INKA, Dissonance and De:Bug among others) and also as a curator (for example, Musiklabel SPA and the Cologne sound-art series Brückenmusik). He lives in Cologne.
