Axel Hanfreich (DE)

Live electronics. After studying at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart, he studied
intensively with the electronic sound and rhythm generation in the broad
field between free improvisation, jazz and contemporary music. Leading the way was in the late 90s his work with the musicians of the Nu Jazz Formation "Schnute". In 2002 he received a scholarship from the Arts Foundation of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Gradually, the cooperation with advanced visual artists became the center of his work. With "Hammerhaus", a duet with the light artist Laurenz Theinert, he appeared on numerous festivals in Europe, Asia and Australia.
