Davor Sanvincenti (HR)

Davor Sanvincenti (a.k.a Messmatik) is a multimedia artist born in Koper, Slovenia in 1979. He got his education at Faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka, Department of Psychology; European Institute for Design in Milan, studying interaction at the Department of Visual Media; Fine Art Academy Brera (Multimedia) and at the Electro-Acoustic Information Center "Argon" in Milan, Italy, where he studied sound design and media programming of art actions. He exhibits since 2001 and in past five years he’s been awarded nine times. In his works, he questions different states and shapes of human senses and perception, entering the scientific spheres through audiovisual installations, spatial interventions and audiovisual performances/concerts. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions and screened at festivals including Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid; LOOP, Barcelona; 25FPS, Zagreb; World Film Festival, Bangkok; VideoEX, Zurich and at venues including Centre Pompidou, Paris; MoCA Zagreb; Lincoln Center, New York; HB Galerie, Rotterdam; Joanneum Museum, Graz; NIU, Barcelona; La Triennale, Milan and MoCA Vojvodina, Novi Sad.
