Joerg Kallinich’s visual music instrument is a unique setup of slide projectors which he plays live, through faders, keyboards and self made foot switches. This very immediate approach enables him to improvise his projections dynamically and with a high degree of flexibility. Therefore he has been labeled a “visual pianist” or “slide-percussionist”. Interacting with improvising musicians, complex rhythmic structures and spontaneous breaks are possible as well as laid-back flowing sequences.
