Born 1960. I studied Painting, Photography and screen printing before moving into film work.
Although I worked within animation , I was always more interested in the manipulation of the still image than in creatikg conventional cartoons, In this, I was influenced by the experimental works of the past, but working with emergent video technologies, later making digital film.
I was a founder member of D-Fuse, the multi media group in 1996. I worked on a number of D-Fuse projects from 96-2002.
I am working in non-narrative film so I am constantly trying to find ways of expressing what I want to say through abstract images My work reflects the places I have lived or visited The process begins with an accumulation of images which I then build into a structure refined through image manipulation. I like to experiment with process and movement.
I am interested in producing work which re-defines how we view cinema as well as its visual content. T he space film is shown in can be modified to show film in a number of different ways. Conversely the architecture of a space should influence the performance.
During my time with D-Fuse we constantly adapted the live performance to compliment and enhance the overall environment.
I am currently producing and filming a documentary project for the HILT organization and making a promo for the band STARVATION BOX..
